Celebrate Earth Day: Upcycle for the Planet
Celebrate Earth Day and help support a good cause! Decorate an upcycled container with various reclaimed materials and start collecting pop tabs for a cause. Bring your container home and help support the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida by collecting the tabs you pull to open soda, soup, or other aluminum cans. Collect the tabs in your container, then bring them to the library and place them in the collection box at the fourth floor Reference Desk. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida will recycle the aluminum and use the money collected to support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Registration is required and begins one week before the session at 10:00 AM. For more information, call 561-868-7701.
