“Making the Impossible Possible: The Story of Puerto Rican Studies in Brooklyn College”

“Making the Impossible Possible: The Story of Puerto Rican Studies in Brooklyn College” Online

Join us for a film screening in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. This 33-minute documentary tells the story of how Puerto Rican, African American, and Jewish students at Brooklyn College in the 1960s successfully struggled for a Puerto Rican Studies program, one of the first in the country. Filmmakers Tami Gold and Pam Sporn will join us live via Zoom to discuss the making of the film and the importance of Ethnic Studies, which is under attack. For more information or to register, visit wpbcitylibrary.org or call 561-868-7701.
